Dedicated Law Enforcement Expert
Our dedicated team at Lionshield Training and Consulting LLC consists of skilled professionals with extensive backgrounds in law enforcement. Each member brings valuable experience as Subject Matter Experts and insights to ensure the effectiveness of our training programs.
Jeff Pearson began his career with the Satellite Beach Police Department in 1987. Chief Pearson holds an Associate Degree from Brevard Community College, Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from the University of Central Florida, and a Master of Science Degree in Public Administration from Webster University. He is also a graduate of the 224th Session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
Chief Pearson has served in multiple roles at the Satellite Beach Police Department. He began his career as a part-time dispatch trainee. He worked as a full-time midnight shift dispatcher so he could attend the police academy during the day. In 1989, Chief Pearson realized his dream of becoming a law enforcement officer and was hired as a full-time Satellite Beach Police officer. He has held several positions over his career with the Satellite Beach Police Department including Field Training Officer, Detective, Corporal, Sergeant, Staff Sergeant, Commander, and Deputy Chief. On August 1, 2011, he was promoted to Police Chief. Chief Pearson oversaw a department composed of 25 sworn officers and 10 support staff. He was responsible for all department operations including the patrol division, criminal investigations division, records division, evidence division, administrative support staff, department policy, budget, and volunteer programs.
Chief Pearson is an active member of the Brevard County Association of Chiefs of Police, the Florida Police Chiefs Association, the International Association of Chiefs of Police, and the FBI National Academy. He is an Executive Board Member of the Florida Police Chiefs Association and served as the 66th President of the Florida Police Chiefs Association in 2020. Chief Pearson also served as the President of the Florida FBI National Academy Associates (FBINAA) in 2016. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis reappointed Chief Pearson to serve as a Commissioner on the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission, where he has served since 2016.
Chief Pearson spent his entire Law Enforcement career with the Satellite Beach Police Department. After 39 years of dedicated service he retired October 31, 2025.
